4 Fixes for Can’t Purchase Anything on Roblox

Try Basic Fixes
- Use a different payment method: Roblox supports all major credit and debit cards, prepaid credit cards, and PayPal for payments. However, you might encounter issues with specific payment methods for various reasons. Try using one of the other supported methods and check if that fixes purchasing issues on Roblox.
- Check Roblox server status: Roblox servers are susceptible to occasional outages. If Roblox servers are having a rough day, the game won’t let you buy anything and show the “Purchasing is temporarily unavailable” error. You can visit Roblox’s service status page to see if there’s a problem.
- Temporarily disable VPN: Roblox might block purchases on your account if it detects unusual network activity. This can happen if you use a VPN service and switch servers frequently. Try disabling your VPN connection momentarily and see if that solves the problem.
Fix 1: Remove Purchase Restrictions for Your Account
Roblox allows users to set monthly spending limits on accounts, which can be helpful if you are managing your child’s account. You need to start by ensuring you haven’t enabled such a limit on the Roblox account you are trying to purchase from.
Step 1: Open the Roblox website in a browser tab, and sign in to your account.
Step 2: Click the gear-shaped icon at the top-right corner and select Settings.

Step 3: Select the Parental Controls tab and turn off the toggle under Monthly Spend Restrictions.

Fix 2: Verify Your Phone Number and Email Address
Another reason you can’t purchase Robux is if you haven’t verified your email address and phone number. Here’s how to verify them.
Step 1: Open the Roblox website in a browser tab, and head to the Settings menu.
Step 2: In the Account Info tab, enter your email address and click the Verify button. Then, click the verification link you receive in your email.

Step 3: Similarly, specify your phone number and enter the code you receive via text to verify it.

After verifying your email and phone number, check if you can make purchases on Roblox.
Fix 3: Sign Out and Sign Back In
Sometimes, authentication issues with your Roblox account can cause your purchases to fail and trigger errors like “Your purchase could not be completed” on Roblox. You can try signing out of Roblox and signing back in to see if that helps.
Open Roblox in a browser on your computer, click the three horizontal dots menu icon on your left, and select Log out.

If you are playing Roblox on your Android or iPhone, tap the three horizontal dots icon in the bottom right corner. Then, scroll down to tap on Log Out and select Log Out to confirm.

Sign back into Roblox and check if the issue is still there.
Fix 4: Correct Date and Time on Your Device
Having your computer or phone set to an incorrect date or time can also result in such anomalies. To avoid this, you need to enable the automatic date and time feature on your device.
Enable Automatic Date and Time on Windows
Step 1: Press the Windows key + I keyboard shortcut to open Settings. Navigate to the Time & language tab and click on Date & time.

Step 2: Toggle on the switch next to Set time automatically.

Enable Automatic Date and Time on Mac
Step 1: Click the time indicator on the right of the menu bar and select Open Date & Time Preferences from the resulting menu.

Step 2: Under Date & Time, check the box next to Set date and time automatically. Then, use the drop-down menu to select the preferred time server.

Similarly, if you can’t buy Robux or other game items on Roblox for mobile, correct the wrong date or time on your Android or iPhone.
